An's educational journey led her to Santa Monica College and the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where her passion and talent caught the attention of industry luminaries. A notable highlight in her career was being selected as a student winner for the esteemed "She is the Music by Alicia Keys," a female songwriting camp in partnership with the Grammys and ASCAP. This opportunity allowed her to collaborate with emerging talents like Maggie Lindemann and Anna Clendening.

In a defining moment of her career, Hoo Yoon An secured a SYNC agreement with the production team behind the Netflix series "Bling Empire." Her contributions to film scoring earned her nominations and wins, including Best Composer and Best Original Score for "Beating Heart" at the Montreal Independent Film Festival, Indie Short Fest, and Venice Shorts Film Awards.

In 2021, Hoo Yoon An lent her musical talents to independent shorts such as "Desperation" and "Quest for Love," directed by Wendy Wang, which were recognized with the esteemed title of "Best Original Score" at the Independent Shorts Awards.

An's dedication to her craft and cultural heritage led her to collaborate with Korean American director Eleanor Cho, where they formed an all-female crew. An composed full scores for the short film "Dinner Is Ready," which premiered at the AMC theater in New York and the Academy of Motion Pictures Museum in Los Angeles in April 2022.
